Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union and CrossPoint Federal Credit Union are coming together. Through our partnership, we’ll bring the best of our two organizations together to deliver exceptional service, innovative products, and personalized financial solutions tailored to meet your needs.

For now, it’s business as usual. On April 13, 2026, we will begin operating as one credit union, giving you seamless access to an expanded network of branches, enhanced online and mobile banking services, and a broader range of products designed to support your financial goals.

Important Updates & Action Items:

New Nutmeg ATM/Debit Card: You will receive a new Nutmeg ATM/Debit Card in March to replace your current CrossPoint card.

  • Please use your current CrossPoint ATM/Debit Card through April 12.
  • Activate your new Nutmeg ATM/Debit Card on April 13.
  • Visit a local branch or call us at 203.288.1695 if you do not receive your new Nutmeg card by March 31.

Member FAQs

What do CrossPoint members need to do now?

Until we integrate our credit unions on April 13, you should continue to conduct your financial transactions as usual. Any action you need to take beginning April 13 will be outlined in the Transition Guide you will receive in late March.

How will my account(s) be impacted? What will change for me?

There will be no changes to your accounts until we combine our credit union systems and your accounts transition to Nutmeg on April 13. You will receive a Transition Guide in late March that includes all the details of the transition. We will work hard to make the integration as easy as possible for you.

Can I take advantage of Nutmeg’s products, services and rates now?

Not quite yet. CrossPoint members will be able to take advantage of Nutmeg’s products and services beginning April 13. You’re always welcome to become a member of Nutmeg if you’d like to take advantage of their products and services earlier.

When will my CrossPoint ATM/Debit Card stop working?

Your CrossPoint ATM/Debit Card will work through Sunday, April 12. You should activate and begin using your Nutmeg ATM/Debit Card beginning Monday, April 13.

When can I expect to receive my new Nutmeg Debit Mastercard?

You will receive your new Nutmeg ATM/Debit Mastercard in the mail no later than March 31. Please call us at 203.288.1695 if you have not received your card by this date.

When should I activate my new Nutmeg ATM/Debit Card?

You can activate your Nutmeg ATM/Debit Mastercard beginning on Monday, April 13.

Will automatic payments I’ve established from my debit card continue to work?

After you have activated your new Nutmeg ATM/Debit Mastercard, you will need to re-establish any automatic payments you had previously set up using your CrossPoint ATM/Debit Card.

Will my current debit card limits change?

Your current card limits will remain the same, with a $500 ATM withdrawal limit and a $1,500 limit for retail purchases.

Will my account number change?

Beginning April 13, account numbers will change for a limited number of members. If your account number is changing, you will receive a letter by U.S. mail no later than March 31 with your new account number.

Will branch hours change?

Our branch hours will remain the same.

Can I do business in a Nutmeg branch now?

Not yet. We first need to convert CrossPoint member information to Nutmeg’s database so we can access your information when you visit a Nutmeg branch. You will have full access to all the Nutmeg branches beginning April 13.

Will I need to open a new account with Nutmeg?

No, you will not need to open a new Nutmeg account. On April 13, your accounts will automatically transition to a similar Nutmeg account.

Do I need to change where I send deposits and loan payments?

Please continue mailing your deposits and loan payments to the same location. We will notify you of any address changes well in advance.

Will the credit union’s telephone number or website change?

Our current telephone numbers, emails and website will stay the same for now. Beginning April 13, you should begin using Nutmeg’s website.

Will my accounts continue to be insured?

Your accounts will remain safe, sound and federally insured through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), a U.S. Government Agency, as they are today.
