Exciting News – CrossPoint Members Approve the Merger with Nutmeg! 

 

 

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news! At our Special Meeting on November 19, 2025, CrossPoint members voted in favor of merging with Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union. This is an important step forward in a partnership designed to bring even more value, convenience, and services to you and our communities.

What happens next:

  • Until the legal merger date of December 1, 2025, it’s business as usual. On December 1, CrossPoint will become a division of Nutmeg. During this time, you can continue using your current checks, cards, and accounts. Branch locations will remain open.
  • We’ll begin integrating systems and operations, with full integration planned for April 2026. At that time, you’ll have access to all combined branches, products, and services.

Member FAQs

What do CrossPoint members need to do now?

For the time being, it’s business as usual and you don’t need to take any action. You should continue to conduct your financial transactions as usual. We will let you know about any changes or actions you need to take well in advance as we go through the process of integrating our credit union systems in April, 2026. After that, you will be able to take advantage of all the new branches, products, and services of our combined credit union

How will my account(s) be impacted? What will change for me?

There will be no changes to your accounts until we combine our credit union systems in April, 2026. We will work hard to make the integration as easy as possible so you can conduct business as you always have. Please look for important information next year
about any changes and how you can take advantage of all the new branches, products and services available to you.

Can I take advantage of Nutmeg’s products, services and rates now?

Not quite yet. CrossPoint members will be able to take advantage of Nutmeg’s products and services after we integrate our systems next year. You’re always welcome to become a member of Nutmeg if you’d like to take advantage of their products and services earlier.

Will there be any changes to CrossPoint branches?

There are no plans to make any changes at our branches. Our branch hours and team will remain the same.

Can I do business in a Nutmeg branch now?

Not yet. We first need to convert CrossPoint member information to Nutmeg’s database so we can access your information when you visit a Nutmeg branch. You will have full access to all the Nutmeg branches after we combine our systems in April 2026.

Will I need to open a new account with Nutmeg?

You will not need to open a new account with Nutmeg. When we integrate our systems next year, all existing CrossPoint accounts will automatically transfer to Nutmeg’s system.

Do I need to change where I send deposits and loan payments?

Please continue mailing your deposits and loan payments to the same location. We will notify you of any address changes well in advance.

Will the credit union’s telephone number or website change?

Our current telephone numbers, emails and website will stay the same for now. We’ll let you know of any changes well in advance of integrating our credit union operations and systems in April 2026.

Will my accounts continue to be insured?

Your accounts will remain safe, sound and federally insured through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), a U.S. Government Agency, as they are today.
