Celebrate the Achievements of Credit Unions

This year we are celebrating the 74th International Credit Union week. From October 17-21, we will be recognizing the achievements and history of credit unions around the world to highlight the difference they have made.

The first credit union was established in 1909 and there are now more than 102 million credit union account holders across the country. The key difference between traditional banks and credit unions is that banks operate with the goal to generate profit for their owners, while credit unions aim to provide members with a place to manage their finances at the best possible terms. This is further exemplified in the ways credit unions support their local communities, including raising money for charity and participating in philanthropic events.

CrossPoint Financial Credit Union is no exception to what a credit union stands for. We have participated in and supported more than 15 New Haven Community events so far this year, with plans to join more! This has inspired us to give back to our customers to show our appreciation.
